My friends over at Drive Magazine were nice enough to post an interview I did for them about users coming first. In this interview, I talk about the path that lead me to where I am today and the overarching principals I apply to strategy.  Take this excerpt:

At my first job, before the days of the phrase “user experience,” I used to regularly butt heads with the IT department. They held all the keys and as a result our website was an exact replica of our database. As a marketing grad I understood the importance of the target market’s needs.

“I felt like an outcast for saying things like ‘humans have to use this website.’”

And be sure to check out Drive Magazine, they’ve got some good things in the works. Thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts guys, keep up the good work!
